About Jill

My passion is plant-based cooking. I believe that choosing to live a kinder, more compassionate lifestyle through dietary choices leads to optimum health and wellness.

I'm a foodie at heart and self-taught vegan cook, I first became vegetarian after reading John Robbins’ historic book, Diet For A New America, in 2000. I became vegan in 2008, thus opening up a whole new world of amazing and incredible plant foods that I could have never dreamed possible.

I've been cooking delicious vegetarian cuisine for my veggie son and husband for over the past 14 years. I've been a frequent recipe tester for several popular vegan authors; I enjoy meeting new people and amazing them with healthful, scrumptious vegan recipes. I'm a passionate member and volunteer of NW Veg (www.nwveg.org) a non-profit organization dedicated to educating and encouraging people to make vegan choices for a healthy, sustainable and compassionate world.

I have a master's degree in speech language pathology and have a pediatric private practice in Troutdale, Oregon. Aside from veganizing recipes in my joyful kitchen, I'm a devoted hot yoga enthusiast and also love treks in the outdoors, especially the beautiful trails of the Pacific Northwest.
